What to check before purchasing a chilled and sparkling water tap

Check four things: the water outputs you actually use, the under-sink space and services available, the cost and availability of consumables, and how installation and warranty are handled locally.

1. Water outputs

Be honest about sparkling water. If it will be used weekly rather than daily, a still filtered system may serve the household better and cost less to run.

2. Space and services

Confirm cabinet volume, a cold water connection, a socket and ventilation clearance before ordering, not after delivery.

3. Consumables

Filters and CO₂ cylinders are recurring. Check local availability and public prices so ownership cost is transparent from the start.
